Offshore Engineering Survey
LMSU MRC possesses all the necessary licenses to perform a full range of marine and offshore research including hydro-meteorological and environmental monitoring, geology and geophysical surveys
We focus on environmental surveys of the Arctic and Far East seas and coastal areas. Baseline and production environmental monitoring is used to preserve biological diversity and bioresources. It includes regular and comprehensive environment observations.
MRC LMSU experts assess the site and forecast any possible environment changes that may be caused by surveying. The obtained data help identify and avoid any negative impact on the environment, and also help predict the site evolution, and develop specific measures to prevent or minimize negative impact on the ecosystem.
For several years the MRC, LMSU experts have been providing environmental monitoring of the Russian offshore projects in the Arctic and Far East regions. The company has all the necessary instruments and a number of innovative processes for marine geophysical, geological, and environmental surveys in harsh Arctic conditions. MRC LMSU possesses all the necessary licenses to perform a full range of marine and offshore research; we are also fully aware of the corresponding legislation. We are your reliable and professional partner. We have advanced research facilities and extensive experience with environmental observation in the Arctic and the Far East.
MRC LMSU offers the following engineering survey services:
MRC LMSU experts perform coastal offshore engineering surveys and marine surveys. It is a comprehensive study of man-made and natural littoral area conditions. The survey findings are to ensure they are environment-friendly, and to design the engineering protection systems. MRC LMSU researchers and engineers with their advanced instrument and dedicated equipment carry out partial or comprehensive, full-scale engineering surveys with subsequent in-house data processing.
Mapping and geographic information systems (GIS) have recently become an integral part of research and operation in many industries including marine research. Advanced GIS Software functionality significantly expand collecting, storing, analysis, interpretation, and application of any spatially mapped data. Note that geographic maps and GIS software help visualize the collected information.
The Marine Research Center at Moscow State University has a team of mapmakers with solid experience in complex GIS projects: from map content generation to developing full-scale Web-based GIS systems.
Our core competencies are:
The team’s competence, skills, and Extensive experience enable us to Impellent the most challenging GIS, remote sensing, and mapping projects.
Marine Research Center at Moscow State University focused on applied marine research. Our priority is providing oil&gas and engineering companies with environmental expertise.
To meet the goal, we have skilled young professionals and researchers from Moscow State University and other industry-oriented partner universities. Ongoing improvement of our Facilities, survey and research methodology, growing experience of the young team ensure high efficiency of our applied research. The innovative offshore development technologies are tested at the engineering testing site, LMSU White Sea Biological Station. MRC LMSU experts study the Offshore areas with innovative research methods and develop optimal solutions for the Customer to meet the project objectives. Our proprietary R&D, and close collaboration with the leading Russian research institutions help MRC LMSU Maintain its cutting edge performance in applied Science, and successfully solve theoretical, environmental, and production problems. Note that we have managed to implement a number of projects with their design packages not compliant to national standards, lacking the required diagrams, design decisions and procedures.
Marine research education is our priority. We run workshops and conferences, schools and work studies, and continuing professional development courses at Moscow State University and our Partner universities in Russia and other countries.
We host the ongoing Marine Mammal Observer course intended to minimize negative impact on marine mammals in the Russian Arctic available at the Technology Incubator, Moscow State University. The intensive three-day program includes lectures, seminars, and finals. Students who pass the exams receive certificates and may participate in field work.
The Marine Research and Education International Conference is hosted by MRC LMSU in partnership with Shirshov Institute of Oceanology, Russian Academy of Sciences, and the Colleges of Biology, Geology, and Geography, LMSU. The conference offers public lectures, concurrent sessions, plenary meetings, roundtable discussions, and a poster session for young researchers. Distinguished international researchers deliver seminars and courses on the hot issues of the World ocean studies.
The annual International School for Sea Bottom Terrain Studies is a marine educational program intended for graduate and doctorate students, young researchers in various fields such as geology, biology, ecology, and geography. The school curriculum is designed to teach a comprehensive approach to sea Bottom terrain studies., e.g. advanced remote sensing.
